Direct purchase via Macaos Enterprise is a service made available by selected manufacturers. Direct purchase can reduce your costs by cutting out the middleman. However, this also increases your responsibility.
Cost reductions
- No sales office is involved in the purchase, so you do not pay any seller markup.
- Your shipping costs may be lower than the estimated freight cost calculated by Macaos Enterprise.
Increased responsibility
- A direct purchase means that you purchase directly from the manufacturer. Neither Macaos Software AS nor your sales office have any legal responsibility for the purchase transaction, product quality, delays or any losses that you may incur.
- The manufacturer's terms of payment may be more restrictive than your sales office. Prepayment is often a requirement, at least until a customer relationship has been established.
- The delivery terms are normally EXW. This means that you will have responsibility for making the shipment and customs arrangements necessary to get the products from the factory to your destination. You will also bear the risk and responsibility for any losses that may occur during transit.
- Should there be any problems with the product you receive, you must resolve them directly with manufacturer.
