Trouble updating Macaos Convergence

If you are having difficulties updating Macaos Convergence to the latest version, you may need to change the name of your program file. The updater requires that the application filename be convergence.exe, but some of the first installations had a filename of mtrader.exe.
To successfully update, you should do the following before updating:

  1. Locate the application file. For example, right-click on the shortcut and choose Properties and then Find target
  2. Rename the application executable file to convergence.exe
  3. Locate the settings file, for example mtrader.ini, which would be in the local settings folder
    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Macaos
    Windows Vista or Windows 7
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Macaos

(The actual path may vary according to your Windows language version.)

  4. Rename the settings file to convergence.ini
